Just checking into the forum and making sure it all is still working. You and I are the only two members of the coven, so there isn't much to do, but the forum has to be up and running--even if only basically.  See you on Facebook.  :)

Discussions / This Forum Must Remain
« Last post by Edward on February 01, 2020, 02:29:41 PM »
This forum must remain the hub of the Coven of the Eighth House, even if no one is using it. It must be fully functional and available. Because no matter what we do on facebook, be it classes, or readings or socializing, FB could shut our groups down at any moment--or ban any one of us from using it.

This may be an inconvenient place for people who want to use Facebook, and for sure, we want a Facebook presence. But everyone who is a member of the Coven will have an account here. They must.  '"wavey'"

Discussions / I check the forum every day...

I come here and check for reading requests and posts on a daily basis, but the truth is, I'm deliberately taking things slowly. I'm fine with the forum being small and inactive for a while. This whole thing: Zagan Sorcery and the Coven of the Eighth House is like a ten-year plan for me. And the slower something builds, the more permanent it tends to be.

But...I am checking every day, so if you have a reading request, by all means post it.

Discussions / Why I am Starting a Forum
« Last post by Edward on August 17, 2019, 03:46:40 PM »
Hello to anyone who reads this.

I am starting this forum, because for some reason, I cannot enter Facebook groups on my PC. I do not know why. I don't think I'm banned, because I can enter them on my phone, and I can reply to posts that are in them that appear on my wall, but I can't enter them on my PC. This seems to have occurred after updating my Windows 10 software. But the cause is not that important. The fact is, Facebook can shut down anyone they want at any time.

My plan is to build my website (ZaganSorcery.com) and this forum (Coven of the Eighth House) up over the next ten years of my working life (I work as an ER nurse.).  I plan thereafter to supplement my retirement by doing psychic readings the way I used to do professionally in 2017. Hopefully, the free stuff I offer through the website and this forum will attract a clientele. It did before, so hopefully it can again. I am, after all, pretty good at psychic readings, and I really love doing them.

It is actually very easy to use a forum, even on a phone. However, one does have to leave the comfort of Facebook and navigate to the forum. That will always be a barrier to this forum becoming large or popular. But that's good for the members, because it means more involvement and participation by those who do frequent it. In a large Facebook group, it's easy for your post to get lost as it falls down in the group, but not so in a forum. Your post remains in the list of posts for quite some time.

Forums are are actually better tools for the sort of thing Zagan Sorcery is about. They are a better tool for doing online readings, they are anonymous, if the member wants them to be. The member can have multiple accounts in order to be more anonymous or express different aspects of their character, and there is thus much greater freedom of speech. If you call yourself, "Dragon" for instance, no one knows who you are. I don't even know who you are, but on Facebook, you have to use your real name--and anything you post is part of your permanent record. In a forum, you are free of that. You can be who you want to be.

Why not go ahead and take a moment to register as a member and get a free reading? Let's start this thing! I didn't intend to start this soon with the website and forum, so it will take a bit to get everything up and running, but I'm ready to start doing readings.
